UKKO
Turus Ukko lures are manufactured still today according to the original and unique models.
The lures invented by Jorma ”Ukko” Turunen from Joensuu, Finland, gained reputation in the 1990s as big fish lures; this reputation followed both the giant lures for pike and zander, and small micro lures for whitefish and trout. The biggest Turus Ukko lures for pike measured almost half a meter in length: pikes over 10 kg were caught using these big lures.
What is characteristic to Turus Ukko lures is the strong swimming motion that works even in very slow speeds. This swimming motion is created by the body’s strong curved shape that resembles the wing of an airplane.
Turus Ukko lures are used and sold in several countries and are actually even more famous abroad than in Finland.
